Michael is in Spain on his year abroad from University of Strathclyde. He is linked with Dyce Academy in Aberdeen.

Trips and teaching

Hola everyone!  Hope your Spanish is going well and it's not too cold in Dyce!

My visit to Madrid was amazing, I got to see a lot of cool places when I was there such as the Parque del Retiro, the Palace, the Gran Via, the Plaza Mayor and the Templo de Debod.  I also got to see a great view of the city from a rooftop bar at sunset as well.  I have posted some pictures from this trip, and of some other things on the twitter page.

Another place I have visited is Cádiz, a small city not too far from Seville. When there we went to the beach as it is still warm enough to go to the beach in November!

As far as teaching goes, it was a bit like being thrown into the deep end at the start, with my first classes being a half hour presentation about myself and Scotland! I have got the hang of it a lot more now, and although it is quite difficult have started enjoying it.  The kids I teach are between the ages of six and eleven and (the majority) are really nice.
