A new project is telling the story of the bible through the medium of Gaelic and LEGO bricks.

The project will produce monthly videos to help Gaels and other young Scots to help build up their knowledge.

The first of six videos to be released by animation studio Go Chatter is an animated retelling of the Parable of the Good Samaritan.

The project is supported by the Church of Scotland alongside Gaelic development agency Bòrd na Gàidhlig, and the Society in Scotland for Propagating Christian Knowledge (SSPCK) – publisher of the first Gaelic Bible.

The videos are being made available to schools, churches and parents for free and will also include well-known tales such as David and Goliath, Jonah and the resurrection of Lazarus.
