Babble - Call for submissions

News Date: 7 October 2025
News Source: University of Edinburgh

Let’s bring your S6 learners’ work to life!

Presenting this work beyond the classroom walls is one of the best motivational factors. In this spirit, Babble, the University of Edinburgh language student magazine, will be delighted to showcase collective essays written by S6 learners from any Scottish schools in its annual supplement from this year onward.

This year's themes will be ‘Friendship’ and ‘Nature’, so any essays written in Chinese, German, French, Italian or Spanish and related to these are welcomed.

Deadline: 28 February 2026.

If you want to see what this Babble supplement looks like, please visit the Babble: The school issue webpage. You will see that Edinburgh schools benefit from the help of mentors, however for logistical reasons, the University of Edinburgh will unfortunately not be able to offer this for schools outwith that area.
