Challenge: French café
Learners will plan, design and create a French café.
Learners as a class should set up their own French café considering the following:
- Job roles – application forms and interviews
- Budget
- Menu – in French and English
- Food preparation – what is practical for them to make safely in a classroom environment, e.g baguettes, sandwiches, salads
- Advertising – learners could be given the opportunity to use a range of ICT to do this for example: Glow Blog, leaflets, posters, Twitter, postcards, etc
- Target audience – who will their customers be
- Restaurant layout – decorations and layout of the furniture, etc
