National anthem

This is a recording of the Madagascan national anthem, entitled 'Ry Tanindrazanay malala ô!' which means 'Oh, beloved land of our ancestors!'

The lyrics were written by Pasteur Rahajason and the music by Norbert Raharisoa. It is often played by Malagasy musicians on an accordion. The anthem was officially adopted in 1959 by the parliament of Madagascar.

This version is the music only but the words are sung in Malagasy.
