National Languages Conference November 2013

On 14 November 2013, the 1+2 Strategic Implementation Group hosted a national conference entitled Modern Languages 1+2: Moving Forward. The conference was organised and delivered by Scottish Government, Education Scotland and SCILT, working in partnership. The aim of the conference was to:

  • look inwards and take stock of developments since the first 1+2 national conference in 2012
  • look outwards and share good practice
  • look forwards and plan for next steps

The conference included contributions from Scottish Government, Education Scotland, SCILT, local authorities and practitioners. The mood was one of ambition and creative solutions to the challenges ahead.
