Sarah has overall responsibility for managing SCILT’s information and communication.
She successfully implemented an external communications strategy which has seen an increase in the quantity and quality of coverage in the press and on social media. This has resulted in raised public awareness of the work SCILT does and improved engagement between SCILT and its user-group.
Sarah oversees production of a suite of literature to support SCILT’s information and promotional campaigns. She drafts SCILT’s press releases and writes and edits copy for online and print sources, including SCILT’s website, newsletters and leaflets. She edits two newsletters and oversees the provision of a weekly current awareness service. She manages SCILT’s enquiry service.
Sarah is experienced in website content management and successfully project managed the migration of SCILT’s website to a new website host. She continues to oversee the content and structure of this website.
Sarah sees ongoing evaluation as crucial to continuous improvement. She is responsible for gathering, analysing and reporting data on the impact of information and communication services and leads on improvement planning for these services.
Sarah is a graduate in Russian and Mathematics. She holds a Masters degree in Information and Library Studies and is a Chartered Information Professional. She currently works three days a week.
