I'm Rebecca. I’m currently studying art, drama, early education and politics in school. I’m learning Spanish outside of school, during my free time. I hope to become a teacher in the future to share my passion for art and languages.

Where does your interest in languages come from?

Language barriers divide societies, but those who study language can help to bridge these divides. Studying a language has allowed me to explore so much culture, music and art. It’s given me perspective on issues and unearthed ideas and opinions previously unattainable. Studying a language is not simply “learning to speak it”, at its core, it is about understanding those around you.

What do you hope to gain from the internship?

I hope to gain experience working with others and hope to make friends. I look forward to seeing how my language skills develop during the internship and im sure that working alongside others will inspire me to explore other languages. I’m excited to share my enthusiasm for languages with others.
