Hello, my name is Robin! This year I have decided to continue Spanish onto Advanced Higher level and I learn some French in my free time. When I leave school I would love to work in the field of languages in some form, whether that be teaching, translation or somehow finding a way to use it simply in my daily life. I would also enjoy travelling abroad for some time after graduating so I can explore new cultures and ways of life.

Where does your interest in languages come from?

I remember vividly one day in 2019 discovering a musician called 'Alvaro Soler' and I fell in love with his music! (I still listen to this day). My fixation with Spanish music began there and has continued ever since. It also expanded into me loving languages in general and finding the ways we communicate fascinating. I think it's very important to learn a language as it opens up so many opportunities and allows you to meet even more people.

What do you hope to gain from the internship?

By the end of this internship I hope to have made an impact on the community by sharing the vital message of the importance of language in the world. I also hope to have made many new friends and contacts throughout the process who also are as enthusiastic about the same things as me!
