Chloe joined the team in August 2024. As well as a GTCS qualified Mandarin teacher, she is also an experienced CELTA-qualified English Teacher. As an enthusiastic linguist, polyglot and lover of languages, she is passionate about language education and unleashing the potential of young people.

Chloe graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a BA (Hons) in General Linguistics and English Studies. She also did a semester abroad in the University of Kent. Having received her CELTA qualification in Edinburgh, Chloe taught a range of face-to-face and online English classes to international students of all age groups, while giving private Mandarin/Cantonese tuition to Scottish learners. After successfully gaining a first-class PGDE qualification in secondary Mandarin at the University of Aberdeen, Chloe taught EAL across secondary schools in Inverclyde Council and gained valuable teaching experiences, especially in educating pupils with ASN.

Chloe strongly believes in the power of education in 21st century Scotland which is increasingly diverse in culture and ethnicity. She aims to equip learners to thrive in an ever-evolving world where language really is the bridge to understanding and making meaningful connections. Therefore, Chloe is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to working with colleagues and students, delivering high quality Mandarin classes to Scottish learners to enhance their school experience and transform their lives as emergent bilinguals.
