Website of the month (secondary) - June 2014

Speechy Project

Speechy Project brands itself as ‘A pedagogical approach to technology in language teaching’ . The site hosts a growing collection of links and information to support teaching and learning for French, Spanish and English - with German coming soon too. Speechy Project is pitched at language learning at secondary level and beyond.

Under the ‘Resources a la carte’ tab there are descriptions of and links to websites for grammar, listening, speaking, writing, reading and vocabulary. Some of the sites do require a subscription though there is often a free trial period to get you going.

Under ’Teaching Materials’ for your target language, there are reviews of suggested websites for use in the ML classroom. The ‘Tools’ section is divided into ‘Web-based’ and ‘Apps’. It features some video tutorials on how to use some of them.
