Careers Week Scotland

Materials and videos shared on social media to highlight careers using languages during Careers Week.

Careers Week Scotland

Careers Week provides an opportunity to showcase the benefits of language skills in the workplace. Language capacity within a workforce can have a significant, positive impact on a business’ ability to trade internationally.[1] Language skills can enhance an individual’s career prospects and may have a positive impact on earnings.[2] But many young people may not realise there's a broad range of professions where languages can prove to be a useful asset...some of which they may not have considered. We have lots of examples on our Employment webpages, but the following videos shared on social media provide a quick snapshot, which teachers might like to share with pupils. The videos are best viewed in full screen mode.
