Anti-racist language learning - Professional Learning resource

Inspired by a recorded conversation with two anti-racist educators teaching in schools in West Lothian, SCILT has created a professional learning resource about anti-racist approaches for pre- and in-service primary and secondary teachers of languages.

Watch the recorded conversation between Lauren White, PTC at Bathgate Academy, Arnault Kasa, teacher at Peel Primary and, off screen, SCILT professional development officer, Suzanne Ritchie.

You may wish to watch the whole conversation (c.35 mins), either on your own or with a group of colleagues.  Alternatively, why not use our Professional Learning resource to aid reflection? Watch one section of the conversation at a time.

With each section, there are a number of questions for you to reflect on, either by yourself or with colleagues. There are four sections, each between five and ten minutes long and each addresses a different overarching question.
