Alina Ostapenko, Administrative Assistant

Alina joined SCILT in February 2024 as an Administrative Assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in French and English Philology and Literature. On her second year of university, she received the Erasmus+ scholarship and went to the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) for a term, as a part of the exchange programme. Throughout her university tenure, Alina also travelled to Auvergne where she lived with a host family during summer holidays, to deepen her understanding of French language and culture, thereby sharpening her linguistic proficiency.

After graduating, Alina embarked on a career as a translator within a marketing department, where she cultivated expertise in digital marketing and communications. Since relocating to Glasgow, she has contributed her skills to the third sector, providing administrative and marketing services.

Proficient in English, French, and Ukrainian, Alina is looking forward to exploring Polish and Italian. She is passionate about cultural exchange and meeting new people. Beyond her professional pursuits, Alina enjoys cycling and painting.
