SNP ministers have been warned language learning in schools is in ‘jeopardy’ as new figures reveal Scotland has lost almost half of its modern language teachers in French and German in 17 years.
The Scottish Liberal Democrats have condemned an “appalling” drop in the number of teachers trained to teach French and German.
