The British Sign Language (Scotland) Act 2015 recognises BSL as a language and supports its use, development and promotion across Scotland, whilst the National Plan 2023-2029 sets out 10 priority areas to improve access, opportunity and inclusion for BSL users across the country.
A new website has been launched containing information, resources and guidance for public bodies and the Deaf community, in relation to the BSL (Scotland) Act 2015.
