This event marks the launch of My Black Stars, a translation of Lilian Thuram’s bestselling 2010 volume, Mes Etoiles Noires, which finally brings his groundbreaking anti-racism work to the attention of an English-language audience. At a time when the Black Lives Matters movement has reminded us of the need to tell more complex stories about our shared past, this volume constitutes a timely intervention by a prominent black sporting figure.
The conversation will take place mainly in French (with simultaneous interpreting provided) and there will be an opportunity to submit questions in advance or during the event. A lucky audience member will also win a signed copy of My Black Stars!
