A Conversation with Lilian Thuram

Venue: Glasgow/online
Visit website

Event Date: 18/05/2022 18:00 - 20:00

Last year SCILT and the School of Humanities at the University of Strathclyde held a Zoom event to mark the launch of My Black Stars, a translation of Lilian Thuram’s bestselling 2010 volume, Mes Etoiles Noires, which finally brought his groundbreaking anti-racism work to the attention of an English-language audience. Now that society is reopening, we are delighted to welcome Lilian Thuram in person to discuss White Thinking: Behind the Mask of Racial Identity (Hero Press, 2021), the English-language translation of his latest book, La Pensée blanche (2020).

Please note that this is a hybrid event. This conversation will take place in-person and will also be available to access online to registered attendees. It will take place in French (with consecutive interpreting provided).

Visit the website for more information and to register for the event by 15 May 2022.
