The Goethe-Institut invites primary schools in Scotland to register interest in participating in a workshop with the author Thomas Harding.
Based on an adaptation of the author's biography aimed at adults, the beautifully illustrated picture book aimed at children reads like a haunting fairy tale. It tells the story of a house at the outskirts of Berlin which has witnessed happy and not-so-happy times until it was discovered and rescued by the author.
The workshop with Thomas Harding centres around families, living situations, home and vocabulary and emotions attached with this subject and aims to raise awareness of German language, culture and history among schools, teachers and students.
