The continuous reading in public of Don Quixote is conceived as a part of the cultural initiatives that CQTC Group is developing in Scotland within the Mental Health Film and Arts Festival 2013 in Edinburgh.
This year the festival is conceived around the topic "Reality and Fiction" and Don Quixote is a good example of how somebody lives in a world of reality and fiction at the same time. "The World through Don Quixote’s Eyes" brings a platform for learning and exploring the collaboration between different communities and organisations in Scotland with a connection to Hispanic culture as well as to raise awareness of mental health issues.
During six hours of non-stop reading, the participants will have a lively forum of participation and the opportunity to become not only recipients but also, the voice of the famous text of Miguel de Cervantes.
Students and teachers of Spanish as well as members of the various Spanish-speaking organizations based in Scotland will take part in this public reading together with a number of anonymous citizens who might like to come and read at different times.
Free access to the event for up to 50 people. Register by 10 October 2013.
