Christmas Truce Concert

A special festive charity concert in memory of the spontaneous truce between the troops on the Western Front at Christmas 1914 will take place at St Andrew's and St George's West Church in Edinburgh to coincide with the opening of the Edinburgh Christmas Tree Festival.
German and British Christmas carols will be performed by the German all-male vocal group Ensemble miXtur! accompanied by the narrator Florian Kaplick with readings of poetry and soldiers’ accounts of the moving events of that legendary Christmas Truce.
