Over the past few months teachers at Carrick Academy (in co-operation with the German partner school, Bishopbriggs Academy) have successfully piloted the implementation of the assessment tool "Goethe-Institut Zertifikat A1: Fit für Deutsch A1" aimed specifically at young people.
It is an internationally recognised certificate at beginners level and corresponds to the first level (A1) of the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Following the first pilot phase, we would like to share and discuss the encouraging results with teachers, trainers and practitioners at this information workshop.
We will present the dedicated learning materials developed by the Goethe-Institut and by the Modern Languages team at Carrick Academy and also the teaching methods and skill training as a best practice example for implementing the “Broad General Education” into the curriculum of a comprehensive secondary school.
For registration, please send your name and contact details to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Conference language: English and German. Registration by 21 April 2015.
