ISOCTAL (The International Symposium on Chinese Theoretical and Applied Linguistics) will be held from 10th-12th December 2015 at Newcastle University. Keynote speakers include:
- James Huang, Harvard University (Chinese syntax);
- Boping Yuan, Cambridge University (L2 Chinese syntax);
- Yi Xu, UCL (Chinese phonology);
- Xinsheng Zhang, Richmond University (Chinese language teaching; language policy)
- and Clare Wright, University of Reading (fluency in L2 Chinese)
