This session presents an overview of newly developed training materials aimed at teachers, trainees, and teacher educators. The materials make explicit the relevance of the history of language learning and teaching to decisions and practices today. Each of the units we have developed consists of a video with accompanying instructor and participant handbooks for a two-to three-hour training session.
At this event, presenters Prof. Nicola McLelland, Dr Simon Coffey, and Dr Lina Fisher will cover three key themes:
- differentiation and diversity
- culture, and
- grammar
