Alex Poole will discuss the importance of learner beliefs and concrete steps students can take outside the classroom to improve their language proficiency. Specific issues include age, the significance of errors, and the importance of motivation for those who live in monolingual countries. Participants will learn how they can acquire grammar and vocabulary outside of class, in addition to self-assessment techniques.
