Effective cross-sector working is the foundation to meaningful transition experiences for our young people as they move from primary to secondary.
In relation to Scotland’s languages policy, effective cluster working is essential. It ensures that primary and secondary colleagues in associated school groups have shared understandings of the planning and pedagogy for teaching modern languages across their cluster. In addition, it ensures that our young people make meaningful progress in their language learning before, during and after the move to secondary school, and that their entitlements to L2 and L3 are met.
This cross-sector workshop is online, free and open to primary and secondary colleagues.
