Thanks to the UNCRC, the career education entitlements and Scotland’s continuing (1+2) languages policy, all children in Scotland have the right to use their own language, and are entitled to learn additional languages and benefit from career education throughout their primary schooling.
In this interactive workshop, you will hear from primary teachers, pupils, employers and others who have taken part in a range of interdisciplinary learning experiences that have developed both languages and employability skills. From small activities through to larger scale projects, find out how teachers have supported children to develop skills in communication, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and leadership wile tapping in to all the languages they know and use at home and at school.
