The British Council is delighted to announce a major conference offering UK school leaders new insights into the place of language education in a world class curriculum. The conference forms part of our forthcoming annual International Education Week programme, and is presented in partnership with the Curriculum Foundation, the National Association of Head Teachers, the Association of School and College Leaders and Whole Education.
Recent educational policy developments present UK school leaders and decision makers with a number of opportunities and challenges - in particular the imminent introduction of languages education for all pupils in Keystage 2 in England.
This one-day conference, aimed at policy makers, influencers and school leaders, will provide delegates with the opportunity to explore successful curricula from a number of countries as well as to engage in focussed discussion with other educational leaders and influencers on effective curricula for the 21st century which have languages and intercultural skills at their heart.
Registration opens early September for UK school leaders – email rowan.kennedy@britishcouncil.org to receive an alert when the webpage goes live.
